STRUTHERS—A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. Edward Church for Margaret I. Savage, 102, who passed away Saturday afternoon at Maplecrest Nursing Home with her family by her side.

Mrs. Savage, formerly of North Heights Avenue in Youngstown was born on April 5, 1915 in Sioux City, Iowa and was a daughter of Odien and Madelyn Lewis Olsen and came to the community in 1956 from Chicago, Illinois.

She was a homemaker, a member of the church and her favorite past time was playing golf. She was especially proud of her hole-in-one at Mahoning Country Club.

Mrs. Savage leaves to cherish her memory, sons: James Patrick Savage, Jr. of West Virginia; Patrick (Joy) Savage of Youngstown and Michael Savage of Liberty Township; daughters: Sue Vitalie of Youngstown; Judy Savage of Boardman; Mary Catherine Savage of Struthers; Ann (Roger) Nock of Canfield; Jayne Savage of Modesto, Calif. and Madelyn Martin of Youngstown. 26 grandchildren: Margaret, Daniel, Brian and Larry Savage; Liz Savage; Denny Jr. and Pete Savage, Colleen Shamburger; Jayne Susec, Jean Dora Smith, Jennifer Miller and Julie Lenyk; Lori Savage; Toni Savage; Bridget Boysen, Rachel Havas and Roger Nock, Jr.; Melissa and Brad Lehman, Kristin Ferguson, Daniel Martin, Jr. and Malorie Martin. Several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Grace.

Beside her husband, James Patrick Savage, whom she married April 15, 1934, and who passed away on Feb. 29, 1964, Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by her sons: Jerry, Denny and Thomas Savage; daughter Patricia Jean Savage; brothers Thomas and Bruce Irwin and her sister Helen Deavers; grandchildren: April Vitalie, Jerry Savage, Jr., Billy Liscic and Lisa Liscic and a great-great-granddaughter Lilly Moon.

 The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 4-6pm at the McCauley Funeral Home and from 10-10:45am prior to the Mass at St. Edward Church.

The family has requested that contributions may be made to the Beatitude House, 238 Tod Lane, Youngstown, 44505.
