AUSTINTOWN – A Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 21st, in St. Edward Church celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin for Rosemary Cordova Hosa who passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side at St. Elizabeth Medical Center on Friday, July 14th.

Rosemary was born in Youngstown on Nov. 21, 1951 and was a daughter of John P. and Alice Meehan Hosa.

Rosemary retired after 35 years of service as a licensed pharmacy technician from Allen's Pharmacy and Rite Aid in Austintown.

She was a mother, sister, aunt, friend, companion to many and was loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.  

She was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and a graduate of Penn Ohio Business College. She was a member of the Optimist Club, member of St. Edward Parish, volunteered at the Youngstown Playhouse as well as many local animal charity events including Friends of Fido, she truly enjoyed dining at the Lake Club with her friends. Rosemary was known for traveling to New York City and attending Broadway shows and dining at famous restaurants. Rosemary was the most knowledgeable tour guide for NYC bound visitors.

Rosemary truly enjoyed spendind time at her brother, Robert Hosa Brookfield home, cooking and visiting with their 2 dogs, Carlos and Selena.

Rosemary leaves to cherish her memory, son, Nick Cordova of San Francisco; brother, Robert J. Hosa of Brookfield; nephew, Christopher (Teri) Hosa police chief of Sharpsville, PA; two great nephews Christian and Michael.

Besides her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by a brother, John Hosa, Jr. past Youngstown Police detective.

The family has requested that contributions be made to St. Edward Church, 240 Tod Lane Youngstown 44504.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edward Church.
