YOUNGSTOWN – Carl Pesa, 85, of Youngstown passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice House with his family by his side.
Mrs. Pesa, who was known as Bones, was born Saturday, May 28, 1938 in Youngstown and was a son of Anthony Joseph and Josephine Stein Pesa.
He was a tanker driver for Lyden Oil, a crane operator for Republic Steet Truscon Works retiring in 1965. After retirement he started a new career by working for Truck World in Hubbard in maintenance until 2018.
Mr. Pesa was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, a graduate of East High School enjoyed driving and admiring trucks.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Peter (Lynn) Pesa of Lake Milton; Anthony J. Pesa of Niles; Carl (Sheila) Pesa Jr. of Youngstown; Dominic Pesa of Youngstown and Jeffrey (Christina) Pesa of Niles; brothers, Johnnie (Edie) Pesa, Joseph (Denise) Pesa, Thomas (Chrissy) Pesa, Paul (Shirley) Pesa and Michael Pesa, sisters, Phyllis Henderson, Janie (Stan) Dickerson, Pauline Rich and Mary Barber, 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
Besides his parents Mr. Pesa was preceded in death by his wife Carmela, whom he married October 28, 1960 and who passed away April 9, 2003, a daughter, Delores Monosky, sister, Joanne Gagliardo and brothers, Anthony Pesa and Patrick Pesa.
The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, March 4, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm at The McCauley Funeral Home and a funeral service Tuesday, March 5, 2024 also at The McCauley Funeral Home at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 9803 Sharrott Road, North Lima, Ohio 44514.
