Barbara Ann Johnson

POLAND – A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at St. Edward Church, celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin, for Barbara Ann Johnson, 76, of Poland who passed away Friday afternoon at Hampton Woods with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 31, 1943 in Youngstown and was a daughter of William J. and Mary Louise Berger Grady and was a lifelong member of the community.

Mrs. Johnson was a teacher at St. Columba School, and worked for McCrones BMV and as a bookkeeper for the furniture store.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Boardman Parent Teachers Association where she served as past president, attended numerous sporting events of her grandchildren, loved Christmas and always had a wonderful Christmas open house, enjoyed playing cards, casinos, antiques, collected teddy bears, an avid sports fan of all Cleveland professional teams, loved her dog, Holly McGee, a Schnauzer in which she bred the breed at an earlier age.  She was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and attended Youngstown State University.

Mrs. Johnson leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Art (Susan) Johnson of Chicago; Michael (Molly) Johnson of Dublin, Ohio; daughters, Amy (Dan) Henry of Boardman and Mollie (Andrew) Graves of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren, Daniel Henry, Jr.; Ryan Henry; Jacob Johnson: Madeleine Johnson; Olivia Johnson; Gabriella Johnson; Carly Johnson; Logan Graves; Cora Graves; Lucie Miller and Jack Miller.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Johnson whom she married in 1967 and who passed away in 2001; brother, William Grady and a sister, Mary Ellen Grady.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the McCauley Funeral Home and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at St. Edward Church.
