VIENNA – Ben W. Bernard III, who was known as Bennie, 71, of Vienna passed away Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2024, at his residence.

Bennie was born Sunday, August 24, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of Ben W. and Rita Bernard, Jr., He was a lifelong member of the community.

He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 171 and US Army Veteran. Bennie' special joy was riding his motorcycles, as well as maintaining and rebuilding them. He was former member of St. Edward Parish.

The memory of Bennie lives on with his brothers, Matthew (Maureen) Bernard of Amherst; Ted Bernard and Bill Bernard both of Rockledge, Florida; and Thomas (Jeanne) Bernard of Raleigh, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Susan Bernard of Rockledge, Florida; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Elizabeth Spoor.

Besides his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Bernard.

There are no services presently planned but there will be a life celebration at a later date.
