IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Jean
Brown
November 19, 1935 – January 27, 2025
POLAND - Betty Jean Brown, 89, of Poland Ohio went to be with the Lord Monday, January 27, 2025 after a short illness.
Born to Kenneth and Lillian Snyder in Quaker St., Schenectady, New York. Betty worked at General Electric and worshiped at First Presbyterian Church. It was there that she met the love of her life Dean Brown (who preceded her in death last summer). They celebrated 60 years of marriage last February.
First and foremost, Betty loved the Lord her God with all her heart, mind, soul and strength. She was very active in her home church in Youngstown, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. She served the Youngstown community as she worked at the rescue mission and she continued her education at Youngstown State University.
Betty was a person who enjoyed all of God's creation, whether it was playing a game of cards, going to a symphony or to a church picnic. But in all of this, she particularly enjoyed fellowshipping with people and sharing stories.
She is survived by her sons, Evan (Rina) and Dana (Laurie), Her brother, Gary, and her six grandchildren, Erica, Alex, Benjamin, Ian, Justin, and Lucas.
Calling hours will be held at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on Friday, February 7 from 6–7 p.m. with a service following at 7 PM. She will be buried beside her husband at the Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery in New Galilee Pennsylvania on Saturday, February 8.
