COLUMBIANA- A Memorial Mass will be Noon on Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Austintown for Dominic P. Prologo, 95, who passed away Thursday morning at Vista Care Center in Boardman.
Mr. Prologo was born Sept. 20, 1919 in Youngstown and was a son of Patsy and Marie Bellino Prologo.
He was a superintendent at Youngstown Sheet and Tube in the seamless tube mills for over 40 years. Mr. Prologo was a World War II Army Air Force veteran serving as a bombardier on the B17 in both theaters. He belonged to both the American Legion Post in Columbiana and the American Legion Post in Lisbon.
Mr. Prologo is survived by his sons, Dominic Prologo of Austintown; Frank (Jackie) Prologo of North Jackson; and Matthew Prologo of Columbiana; daughters, Dominique Gilchrist and Angela Prologo both of Akron; grandchildren, Dominic Prologo; Lisa (Angelo) Barbaro; Chad (Julie) Prologo; David (Dana) Prologo; Corey (Stephanie) Prologo; J.P. Prologo, Melissa Hamad; Eric Prologo; Tyler Gilchrist and Ethan Gilchrist; 13 great grandchildren and his former wife, Victoria
Besides his parents Mr. Prologo was preceded in death by sons, John Prologo and Patrick Prologo; brothers, John, Joseph and Jimmy Prologo; sisters, Earl Bono; Carmel Butryn; Virginia Nagy; Rosie Alli and Josephine Pickalinsky and his former wife, Emma.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 11a.m. to Noon on Saturday at the church.
