YOUNGSTOWN – A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Christine Church, celebrated by Father John Keehner, for Dorothy A. Gillian, 79, formerly of Cascade Drive, who passed away Wednesday afternoon at Meridian Arms Living Center. Mrs. Gillian was born June 21, 1938 in Youngstown and was a daughter of Stephen W. and Ellen Elizabeth Deibel Wheeler and was a lifelong member of the community. Mrs. Gillian was a home maker, a member of the parish and a 1957 graduate of Ursuline High School. She loved gardening and enjoyed auctions and garage sales. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son Michael Gillian and his wife Cristina and their daughter, Jamie of Chandler, Arizona; a sister, Jean Goerth of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and two nieces and a nephew. Besides her parents, Mrs. Gillian was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Gillian whom she married April 22, 1972 and who passed away June 26, 2001. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Christine Church.
