MCDONALD- A Mass of Christian Burial will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in St. Edward Church, celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin, for Dorothy Eileen Seidler, 93, who passed away Friday evening at Liberty Health Care Center.
Mrs. Seidler was born June 12, 1922 in Youngstown and was a daughter of Charles Patrick and Margaret Virginia Murray Morley and was a lifelong member of the community.
Mrs. Seidler was employed by St. Elizabeth Health Center as a switchboard operator for 25 years and retired in 1991 and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Auxiliary Guild and was a Eucharistic Minister at the hospital. She was a member of the St. Edward Parish, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, a lector, member of the choir, Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Christian Family Movement, enjoyed music, was an avid baseball fan rooting for her favorite team the Cleveland Indians and her grandchildren were her biggest joy in her life. She was a graduate of Ursuline High School and attended Youngstown College.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Edward Seidler of Denver; Casey (Dorothy) Seidler of Omaha, Nebraska; Chuck (fiancée, Leslie Patton-McKinney) Seidler of Canfield; Mary Jane (John) Bogar of Denver; Jeffrey (Phyllis) Seidler of Liberty; and Christine (Bill) Silvestri of Youngstown; brother, John (Joanne) Morley of Cornelius, North Carolina; grandchildren, Robert Seidler, Jennifer Seidler, Philip Seidler, Bill Seidler, Amanda Seidler and Concetta Seidler; great grandchildren, Christina, Breanna, Ariyonna, Patrick and Flynn; sisters in law, Ann Marie Morley of Youngstown and Kathy Morley of Boardman
Mrs. Seidler was preceded in death by her husband, William Seidler whom she married November 12, 1947 passed away Sept. 3, 1976, her parents; a daughter, Eileen; brothers, William and Charles Morley; sister, Virginia Donovan; and a grandson, Brian Seidler.
The family has requested that contribution be made to the Dorothy Day House, P.O. Box 863, Youngstown, Ohio 44501 and/or to Beatitude House, 238 Tod Lane, Youngstown, Ohio 44504
The family will receive relative and friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday in St. Edward Church.
