LIBERTY TWP. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the McCauley Funeral Home celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin, for Edward J. O'Hara, 88, who passed away Tuesday afternoon at his residence.
Mr. O'Hara was born January 17, 1927 in Youngstown and was a son of Edward and Agnes May O'Hara and was a lifelong member of the community.
Mr. O'Hara worked for Hynes Industries for many years and retired in 1992, member of St. Edward Church, Navy veteran of World War II, amateur boxer where he participated in the Golden Gloves and also boxed while in the service, enjoyed spending time with family and enjoyed horse racing.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brother, Donald W. O'Hara and along with his nephew, Michael Rafferty, with whom he made his home; sister, Mary Agnes Collins of Vienna and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. O'Hara was preceded in death by brothers, Jackie and James O'Hara; sisters, Ruth McKenna, Darlene Rafferty, Dorothy McGuire, Eileen Mack and Blanche Stuckey.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:15 am to 11:15 am Saturday at the funeral home.
