YOUNGSTOWN – A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Edward Church, celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin, for Florence Jane Duffy, 79, of Youngstown who passed away Friday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Duffy was born April 28, 1937 in Youngstown and was a daughter of Vincent I. and Irene Saunders Laughlin and was a lifelong member of the community.

She was employed by Natali Drugstore as a clerk and retired in 1975 after twenty years of service to the Strouss Department Store in downtown Youngstown as a sales clerk.

Mrs. Duffy was a member of St. Edward Parish where she also served as a sacristan, member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, a 1957 graduate of Ursuline High School and had a huge heart and love for animals.

Mrs. Duffy leaves to cherish her memory, son, John Patrick (Cheryl) Duffy of Brookfield and Maureen Conway of Hubbard; sister, Margaret Mary Kather of Liberty Twp.; grandchildren, Ryan Pratt, Hope Duffy and Chance Duffy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son in law, Michael Conway.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday in St. Edward Church.
