YOUNGSTOWN-Private services will be at a later date for James F. Seck, 67, of Youngstown who passed away Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. Seck, who was known as "Suds" was born in Youngstown on July 26, 1947 and was a son of Joseph and Regina Inez Holland Seck.
He was a 1965 graduate of Chaney High School, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (twice), Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 dev, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, expert w/M-14 Rifle, four oversea Bars, Vietnam Winter-Spring Camp 1970 and Vietnam Counteroff PH II and III and attained the rank of staff sergeant.
Mr. Seck is survived sons, Edward Seck and Terry Seck both in New Zealand; brothers, Dennis Seck and John Seck both of Youngstown; and Joseph Seck of Boardman.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Sophie Durkin and a brother, William Seck.
