A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church for Jane Chismar, 73, of Poland who passed away Monday morning at Select Specialty Hospital of Boardman with her family by her side.
Mrs. Chismar was born Aug. 31, 1943 in Sharon, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of Norman and Mabel Roberts Keiser and moved to the Youngstown area upon her marriage.
She worked for the Erie and Lackawanna Railroad as a switchboard operator and retired from the railroad as a secretary. Once retiring from the railroad she continued to work as a secretary for law offices and retired in 2005.
Mrs. Chismar was a member of the parish, a 1961 graduate of Hickory High School, also she enjoyed her lunches at Patsy's, and liked to travel and shop.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Edward B. Chismar whom she married Sep. 21, 1968; brother, Norman Edward (Gloria) Keiser of West Middlesex; brothers in laws, Anthony Chismar; William (Mariann) Chismar; Joseph Chismar; Michael Chismar and John (Betty) Chismar and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Chismar was preceded in death by her son, Edward M. (Chizzy) Chismar
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday all at Holy Family Church.
