POLAND-A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 7, in St. Edward Church for John Paul Flanagan, III, 85 of Tequesta, Florida and Lake Milton, Ohio who passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, at Hospice House with his family by his side. Mr. Flanagan was born Sept. 14, 1930 in Youngstown and was a son of John Paul and Gertrude Green Flanagan, Jr. He was an engineer for East Ohio Gas Co. for more than 40 years and retired in 1992, a former member of St. Edward Parish, member of Riverbend Country Club in Florida, American Legion Post 737, graduate of Ursuline High School, attended John Carroll University, Korean Army veteran, an avid golfer, enjoyed riding bicycles, playing bridge and visiting casinos. Mr. Flanagan leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jack of Jupiter, Florida; Kevin of Lake Milton; Sheila McKinney of Lake Milton; Bridget (fiancé, Pete Stevens) Flanagan of Lake Milton; Christine Donaldson of Youngstown; and Erin (Raymond) Lonsway of Boardman; grandchildren, Erica Mararri; Lauren McKinney; John Flanagan, V; Robert Donaldson; Shannon Donaldson; Isabelle Lonsway and Anthony Lonsway. Besides his parents, Mr. Flanagan was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rosemary Pagley whom he married in 1955 and who passed away June 8, 2012.
