July 24, 1957 – November 29, 2021
BOARDMAN – John E. Potts, 64, of Boardman passed away early Monday morning at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman due to the COVID-19 virsus.
John was born in Youngstown July 24, 1957 and was a son of Clarence and Mary Louise Welsh Potts and was a lifelong member of the community.
He was still working at Polaris Windows and Doors in shipping and receiving for over 37 years. John was a graduate of The Rayen School, a huge Notre Dame and Cleveland Browns football fan, enjoyed NASCAR where Ryan Blaney was his favorite driver and camping. His grandchildren were the love of his life. John was extremely proud to be a north sider.
John leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 35 years, the former Christine Smith whom he married September 13, 1986; son, Joe (Lisa) Potts; brother, Edward (Merlinda) Potts of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Anthony, Aaiden and Arissa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his in laws, Charles and Patricia Smith.
A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at The McCauley Funeral Home where the family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
