YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at The McCauley Funeral Home for John P. Teleis, 59, who passed away Monday morning at his residence.
Mr. Teleis was born Aug. 10, 1954 in New Castle, PA and was a son of John and Michelle Tomusiak Teleis. He moved to this area to become a lumber sales associate for Stambaugh Thompson's and then became an assistant store manager at Do Cut Sales and Services and was still employed by Ace Lumber as a buyer. Mr. Teleis was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima loving his new church, was a member of Free and Accepted Masons and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Teleis was a graduate of Union High School and received a Bachelor's in Literature with honors from Slippery Rock University.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Dolly Kuzma whom he married May 21, 1988; his mother of New Castle; daughter, Rachel Teleis in Tennessee; step daughter, Shannon (Scott) Mesarch of Twinsburg; a sister, Michelle Teleis (Tom) Fickle of Burbank, California: two grandchildren, Logan and Evan Mesarch; and two nephews which are his godsonsTaylor and Rio Fickle.
Beside his father he was preceded in death by his mother in law and father in law, George and Dorothy Kuzma.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
