YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Community Covenant Church, performed by Pastor Michael Zabel and assisted by a family friend, Pastor Edward Sferra for Karen Leanna Jones, 57, who passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic.
Karen was born November 3, 1957 in Youngstown and was a daughter of Edward Jones and Jean Puglia and was a lifelong member of the community.
She was a devoted family member as she was a caretaker not only for her parents but also her grandmother, a very kind woman she enjoyed cooking and loved everyone.
Karen leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Shawn (Jamie) Halas of Coconut Creek, Florida; Timothy (Jennifer) Halas of Boardman and Mindy Wiesensee of Struthers; her siblings, Debbie (Ron) Palmer of Alliance; Diane (Jack) DeMatteo of Lordstown and Mark (Penny) Jones of Lowellville; seven grandchildren; her stepfather, Fred Puglia of Youngstown and beloved nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Contributions may be made in Karen's name to the family.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the church.
