YOUNGSTOWN - Lawrence Duane Nottingham, 84, of Youngstown passed away Saturday morning, November 23, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Nottingham, who was known as Duane, was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Thursday, April 25, 1940 and a son of Blake and Ethel Rhiel Nottingham and moved to the Youngstown in 1961.
He was a mechanic for Sears Automotive at the Southern Park Mall for many years and was an expert in auto repair. He attended Wilson High School and received his high school degree through the Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Nottingham leaves to cherish his memory sons, Blake (Dara) of Titusville: Frank J. (Cindy) also of Titusville; and Larry (Sharae) of Greenfield, Indiana; eleven grandchildren which includes Robert Nottingham of Canfield whom he was remarkably close to; and nine great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rebecca A. Jones whom he married Saturday, June 30, 1979 and who passed away Wednesday January 25, 2023; son, Robert A. Nottingham and a daughter, Sherrie Lynn Sorge.
