AUSTINTOWN – A Mass of Christian Burial will be noon on Tuesday at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard for Louis Carl Perry, 92, formerly of Grandview Avenue in Hubbard, who passed away Saturday morning at Hospice House.
Mr. Perry was born July 16, 1922 in Hubbard and was a son of John and Ruby Tesone Perry, Sr. and was a lifelong member of the community.
He was a tool and die maker at the following companies, Niles Steel Products, Truscon Steel and retired in August 1996 after 23 year from General Motors/Delphi.
Mr. Perry was U.S. Marine during World War II serving in the Pacific Theater where he participated in the landings at Bougainville, Guam in the Marianas Islands and Iwo Jima and was a Private First Class and a rifle marksman.
He was a member of the church, Knights of Columbus, Optimist Club, graduate of Hubbard high School, Second Ward Councilman  and Councilman- at- large both in Hubbard, a member of the Marine Corp League and his family was of the utmost importance.
Mr. Perry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of over 67 years, the former, Marietta DeSantis, whom he married July 5, 1947; daughters, Gloria DeLorenzo of Boardman and Marilyn (Ronald) Vernon of Austintown; brothers, Anthony (Harriett) Perry of Hubbard and John Perry, Jr. of Boardman; sister, Mother Mary Angela Laura Belle Perry (Sisters of the Poor Claires) of Washington, D.C.;  grandsons, Michael (Julie) DeLorenzo and their children, Jason and Maria and Marc( Kherry) DeLorenzo and their children, Marissa and Morgan.
Besides his parents, Mr. Perry was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald DeLorenzo and sisters in law Christine and Arlene.
A special thank you from the Perry family to Hospice House, ICU and four west Intermediate care at St. Elizabeth Boardman campus and the emergency room of St. Elizabeth's on Mahoning Avenue Austintown.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
