YOUNGSTOWN – Mary Frances "Fran" Doyle passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Born on March 8, 1936, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Norbert Doyle and Corrine Johnson Doyle. She attended St. Edward's grade and junior high schools and in 1954 she graduated from The Rayen High School. In 1958 she graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

After teaching in Ohio for two years, Fran relocated to the Washington, D.C. area in 1960 and began her long career as a teacher of elementary and middle school in the Prince Georges County Public School System, during which time she was continually active in, and an officer of the county teachers' association. She retired from teaching in 1993 but remained living in Prince Georges County among her many friends until relocating to Youngstown in 2021, where she rekindled old friendships and made many new friends.

Fran is survived by her sister Joyce Doyle of New York City.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Reverend Monsignor Robert Siffrin for Fran at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Edward's Church, 240 Tod Lane, Youngstown 44504.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 t0 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the Mass.
