YOUNGSTOWN – Mary Katherine Savage, 72, of Youngstown, passed away the Sunday evening Feb. 13, 2022 at Austinwoods Nursing Center with her family by her side.

Mary was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1949 in Chicago and was a daughter of James Patrick and Margaret Olsen Savage and moved to the Youngstown community in 1958.

She was employed by the Metropolitan Housing Authority as an apartment manager and managed many local apartment complexes as a rental agent.

Mary was a 1967 graduate of Ursuline High School and was employed by the Metropolitan Housing Authority as an apartment manager. She also managed other local apartment complexes as a rental agent.

Mary's Christian faith was very important to her as was her family. Mary was especially involved in the lives of her many nieces and nephews and sometimes tutored other children.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, siblings, John Patrick Savage of West Virginia; Patrick (Joy) Savage of Youngstown; Michael Savage of Liberty Twp.; Judy Diebel of Boardman; Ann (Roger) Nock of Canfield and Madeline Savage of Youngstown.

Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews including, Kristin (Jim), Toni (Kim), Malorie, Daniel, Bridgette, Rachel, Roger, Jayne, Jennifer, Jean, and Julie; several great nieces and nephews including, James (Courtney), Melody (Daniel), and Niki (Joe); and great great nieces and nephews, Sydney, Alyssa and Fionna.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Jerry Savage, Denny Savage, Thomas Savage, Margaret Sue Vitale, Patricia Jean Liscic, Jayne Savage and nieces, April Vitale and Lisa Kirkpatrick and a nephew Bill Liscic

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial luncheon 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022 at St. Anthony's Society, 100 Lowellville Road, Struthers, Ohio 44471.
