LOWELLVILLE –Private Family Services were celebrated today by Father Kevin Peters at the McCauley Funeral Home for Mary Jane Sheppard, 83, of Lowellville who passed away Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Sheppard was born December 31, 1931 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of Margaret Burdette and came to the area as a young teenager.
She was employed by Metal Carbides as a press operator and retired from Villa Maria working as a nurse's aide. Ms. Sheppard was a member Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, Mount Carmel Ladies Society, and was a 1949 graduate of Lowellville High School. As an avid gardener she was known for the beautiful flowers around her yard and enjoyed bird watching.
Ms. Sheppard leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Rosemarie Rouzzo; brother, David Burdette both of Lowellville; several loving nieces and nephews and her cat, Missy
