Obituary
BOARDMAN – Services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at the Temple El Emeth Cemetery on Granada Avenue (Itts Chapel) at 11am for Morris H. Zoldan who passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Beeghley Oaks Nursing Home.
Mr. Zoldan was born June 6, 1916 in Sharon, Pennsylvania and was the son of Max and Ruth Stern Zoldan.
He was a 1934 graduate of Sharon High School. He worked for many years in the grocery business, serving as vice president of meat operations for Century Foods. In 1969 Mr. Zoldan moved to Redwood City, California where he and his wife, Lillian, owned and operated Jaye's Coffee Shop. The restaurant attracted people from far and wide and twice won the award for the region's best donuts.
Mr. Zoldan was a member of both Temple El Emeth and Ohev Tzedek Synagogues.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Sandi (Richard) Super, Karen (Dan) Hough and Judi Zoldan; stepdaughter, Audrey Scheuer. He was the proud grandfather of Wayne (Deborah) Super, Pamela Super, David (Missy) Super; Kate, Alexander and Sam Hough; Jeff Hirschberg and Randi (Keith) Hirschberg Haller; and Shawna Silverman; and equally proud great-grandfather of seven great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Lillian Aron, whom he married in 1937 and who passed away in 2000; his second wife, the former Sarah Lacko Scheuer, whom he married in 2002 and who passed away in 2010; sisters Grace Safier and Mickey Williger.
The family will receive relatives and friends one half hour before the service at the cemetery chapel.
