YOUNGSTOWN – Private services were held for Ronald L. Joy, 69, of Youngstown who passed away December 1, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Joy was born Aug. 15, 1949 in Wellsville, a son of Charles and Loretta Shannon Joy and came to the Youngstown community in 1988.

He retired as a truck driver working for several transportation companies in the Youngstown area, a working member of his family construction business located in Wellsville, a security person for Warconhut and was a civil deputy in Youngstown.

Mr. Joy was a member of St. Columba Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Cindy (Mike) Schneider; son, Richard Joy; sisters, Charloetta; Sharon; and Midglie; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a nephew Robert Joy.

Mr. Joy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife the former Jacqueline C. Reese whom he married March 16, 1968 and who passed away Oct. 10, 2018, a daughter, Linda M. Clark, brother, Robert, sisters, Mona and Lisa Marie
