VILLA MARIA—Sister Kathryn Conry, H.M. (formerly Sr. Ambrose) 84, died Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Villa Maria Community Center, Villa Maria, Pa. A Cleveland native, she entered the Sisters of the Humility of Mary in 1950.
Sister Kathryn taught at St. Edward, Youngstown, was principal at St. Stephen, Niles and was a teacher then pastoral minister at St. Paul, Salem. She returned to Villa Maria Community Center in 1995 where she shared in the ministry of prayer and suffering until her death.
The daughter of the late James and Mary (Ford) Conry, and sister of the late Thomas, Helen and Rev. James Conry, Mary Jane Murphy and Ann Barrett. She is survived by her brother Jacky Conry, many nieces and nephews and their families and her Sisters in the Humility of Mary Congregation with whom she shared her life for 63 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 9 at 1 pm at Villa Maria Chapel, Villa Maria, Pa. Friends may call at Villa Maria Chapel Tuesday, October 8, from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday October 9 from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Prayer service at 7 pm Tuesday, October 8.
