Sister Susan Corrigan, H.M., (formerly Sr. M. Kateri), 75, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at Villa Maria Community Center, Villa Maria, Pa.  Born in Cleveland, she entered the Sisters of the Humility of Mary in 1959.  She received her BSE from St. John College, Cleveland and her MSEd from Kent State University.  In 1987 she completed her MA in Counseling from Walsh University, North Canton.

During her 47 years in ministry she taught at St. Patrick, Hubbard and was a licensed professional clinical counselor for 18 years with Community Services of Stark County, Inc. in Canton.  She served on the HM Congregational leadership team from 2005-09.  During her illness she served in the Ministry of Prayer until her death.

The daughter of the late John P. and Catherine (nee Corbett) Corrigan, she is survived by her brothers Daniel and Donald Corrigan and her sisters Mary Columbro and Conny Blake and many nieces and nephews and their families and by the Sisters of the Humility of Mary with whom she shared  55 years of her life.

Funeral Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 10 AM at Villa Maria Chapel, Villa Maria PA.  Friends may call at Villa Maria Chapel Tuesday, Sept.  15,  3:30 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM and Wednesday, Sept. 16,  9-9:30 AM.
