YOUNGSTOWN – Thomas "Cub" Joseph Fleming passed away peacefully on Saturday May 17, 2025 at Omni Manor Nursing Home in Youngstown, with his son Jim by his side.
Born February 14, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio to Paul and Helen Baeszler Fleming he attended Saint Edward School and graduated from Ursuline High School, Class of 1959. He was a graduate of Youngstown State University where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity.
Tom worked for Youngstown Sheet and & Tube, Lyden Oil Company, Traveler's Insurance and as a driver for area car dealers later in life.
He was formerly married to Patricia McCabe Fleming, and they had one son, James Patrick Fleming. He leaves his son Jim and daughter-in-law Katie York Fleming, grandson Robert Fleming and siblings Catherine Fleming, Paul Fleming, Michael (Mary Beth) Fleming and Al (Suzanne) Fleming and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Jane Thompson.
He was an avid sports fan (Go Irish) and known for his incredible memory. You would never want to go against him in a game of Jeopardy at the Golden Dawn.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Edward Church (240 Tod Lane) on Friday, May 23rd at 3:30 pm immediately followed by a 4:30 pm Mass celebrated by the Very Reverend Monsignor Robert Siffrin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Ursuline High School, 750 Wick Avenue, Youngstown, 44505
