A fixture of Youngstown’s north side since marrying the love of her life, William Charles Morley in 1950, she sent her seven children to St. Edwards School and Ursuline High School.  Ann Marie devoted her life to the service of God through many avenues.  Her love of music was a common denominator in serving God, the community and family, whether playing piano, organ, accordion, harmonica, autoharp or using her lovely singing voice.  She was an accomplished painter.  She was involved in the Cursillo movement since its inception.  Along with husband Bill they mentored many couples through this special Catholic couples retreat.  They also counseled young couples through the Catholic Pre Cana marriage counseling service.  She served as President of the Youngstown Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, President of the Mahoning Deanery of the National Council of Catholic Women, was a member of the Ohio Catholic Conference, Confraternity of Christian Mothers, St. Edwards PTA, Wednesday morning prayer group with dear friends and the Serra Club where she recently helped pray Matthew Zwilling from the seminary to the priesthood.  She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul and various other clubs and organizations.  She was devoted to civic duties, working as a poll worker and an active supporter of various political candidates and campaigns.  She was secretary to:  Monsignor Fannon at the House of Prayer, Rabbi Schecter at Temple Emanuel and Maureen Fogerty at Speech Pathology.  She enjoyed 27 happy years as the Mass organist for the Sacred Heart congregation.  Time permitting she was Mass organist at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and would then deliver holy communion to patients.
