David C. Day

STRUTHERS—David C. Day, 63, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 28, 2020, at his home.

He was born Nov. 7, 1956, in Youngstown, the son of Anna Marie (Mammel) Day and the late Cornell Day. He was a 1974 graduate of Poland High School.

Dave was currently employed at Auto Zone in Sharon, Pa. He also worked many years at Vinylume Products in Youngstown.

Dave enjoyed life with his wife, especially trips to Niagara Falls, which was their “Happy place.” They often took long Sunday drives to Geneva-on-the-Lake and various wineries. He was a devoted family man who was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid sports fan always cheering on his favorite Ohio teams.

Dave leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Lynda (Williams) Day;  one son, David (Stephanie) Day of Struthers; one daughter, Lisa (Jim) Galich of Boardman; four grandchildren, Carson, Tanner, Kyla and Lola. Dave is survived by his mother, Anna Marie of Miami, Oklahoma; sibling, Shirley Day of Struthers, Gary (Joy) Day of Pa., Jerry (Sharianne) Day of Youngstown and Theresa (Michael) Henady of Miami, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Cornell Day.

Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at 3pm at Faith Fellowship Church in Youngstown. Family and friends will be received at the church from, 2-3pm, prior to the service.

Due to covid 19 guidelines, masks are required and social distancing is encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the family, which will then be distributed to Dave’s favorite charities.
