YOUNGSTOWN – Edward Jude Diana, 84, of Youngstown passed away Thursday evening, February 25, 2021, at Hospice House surrounded with his loving family.
Mr. Diana was born February 5, 1937 in Youngstown and a son of Anthony C. and Rose Colao Diana and was a lifelong member of the community.
He was a carpet installer for over 30 years working for Pierson Floor Coverings and was the custodian at St. Edward Church and Parish for more than 20 years in which constantly striving to make the church and parish better.
Mr. Diana was a member of St. Edward Parish, loved to read, watch movies especially Turner Classic Movies and history, enjoyed studying different religions with an interest in Jehovah Witness, he was passionate about knives, swords, guns and delicious food. He was a 1955 graduate of The Rayen School.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Stephanie Diana of Youngstown; son, Stephen (Tricia) Diana of Youngstown; stepdaughters, Angela Diana of Girard; and Jennifer Diana of Youngstown; siblings, Michael Diana; Thomas Diana; Marie (Richard) Cataline; Charlie (Diane) Diana; and Rosemary Greene; grandchildren, Lawrence Procik, Anthony Diana, Michael Diana, John Knapp, Dorothea Knapp and a great grandson, Xavier Procik.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothea Gayge who passed away June 10, 2010, his son, Mark Edward Diana, brother, James Diana, sisters, Anna Marie Diana, Doris Cappezuto and Julia Yurkovich
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the McCauley Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will be Monday at the funeral home.
