GIRARD – James Donald Mock, 81, of Giard passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Mock was born in McGees Mill, Pa Wednesday, Aprill 1, 1942 and was a son of William H. and Viola M. Craig Mock, Sr. and came to this area as a child.
He worked for Hathaway bakery for 7 years and then for Commercial Intertech for 38 years in the press room, retiring in 2004.
Mr. Mock was a member of Summit Assembly of God Church in McDonald, since 1952 where he was actively involved in the church holding many different positions, his family was the utmost importance to him, and he enjoyed camping.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Wilma (Sue) Binion whom he married Saturday, July 28, 1962; son, Scott (Diane) Mock of Hubbard; daughter, Christina (Michael) Nicholson of Liberty Township; Sisters, Sandy (Michael) Mraz of Youngstown and Bonnie White of Struthers; a brother, Ronnie (Katrina) Mock of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia; son-in-law, Kimo (Cindy) Mullins; grandchildren, Scott Mock Jr.; Samantha (Thomas) Stoner; Amanda Pavlak; Andrew Pavlak; Benjamin Mullins, Ross Vardamon; Adrianna Nicholson and Gage Nicholson; great grandchildren, Paisley and Dawson Pavlak.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodi Mullins; son, James D. Mock, Jr.; siblings, Robert Mock, William Mock, Jr. Gordon Mock, Terry Mock Judy Burnett, Jerry Mock and Yolanda Shubert.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Schiavone Funeral Home, 1842 Belmont Avenue,44504 and on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10 am to 11 am at Summit Assembly of God Church in McDonald with a funeral service to follow by Pastor Luke Breese.
The family wants to thank St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center for their compassionate care that their loved one received.
