CORTLAND - It is with a heavy heart that family and friends must say goodbye to Larry R. Larch, of Cortland who passed away Sunday morning, October 22, 2023 in his home surrounded by those who loved him the most.
Larry was born in Youngstown on February 15, 1947, and was a son of Harry and Mary Daigneau Larch. Larry was a lifelong member of the community and a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, class of 1965.
He was an electrician for Republic Steel/LTV/WCI Steel for 42 years and retired in 2012. Larry was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, and belonged to the Moose Lodge 186 and the VFW Post 1090. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, an Elvis Presely enthusiast, a longtime cruciverbalist (one who loves crossword puzzles), and never said no to a cold Budweiser.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Cynthia (Senek) Larch of 27 years; children, Heather Gollan-Larch of Austintown, Scott (Jennifer) Larch of Boardman and Mackenzie Larch of Austinown; brother, Kenneth Larch of Rock Hill, SC; sisters, Joyce Berridge of Boardman, Marianne (Robert) Meshot of Rock Hill, SC and Debbie (Albert) Pesa of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Riley Golan, Madilyn Larch and Isabella Larch.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Phillips, and a brother, Daniel Larch.
The Larch family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 11am to 1pm at Schiavone Funeral Home, 1842 Belmont Avenue, 44504 with a service to immediately follow.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Carl A. Nunziato VA Clinic, St. Joseph Cancer Center, and the Cleveland Clinic for all their help and support during Larry’s eight year battle with bone cancer.
