STRUTHERS – A Memorial Mass will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in St. Edward Church, celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin, for Margaret Mary Lowry, 53, who passed away Friday morning at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Margaret was born on March 2, 1966 in Youngstown and was a daughter of Charles and Mary Jean Grocutt Lowry and was a lifelong member of the community.
Margaret worked various jobs in the community, was a graduate of Ursuline High School, attended Youngstown State University, was an amazing cook in which her wedding soup was simply the best, took wonderful care of her father and family, enjoyed gardening and loved her pets.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kaitlyn (Michelle) Magdziuk; siblings, Charles (Lorna) Lowry; Patrick (Rebecca) Lowry; Christine (Mickey) Vath; Mary Jean (Mike) McCaffrey; Joan (William) Kroynovich; Kathleen (Mark Frankland) Mattozzi; Michael (Annie) Lowry; Richard (Joy) Lowry; Edward (Rhonda Gates) Lowry and Gregory (Julie) Lowry; her best friend and partner in crime, Pete Traversa with whom she made her home; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael George Lowry, Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the McCauley Funeral Home where at the conclusion of visitation there will be an intimate gathering to share wonderful and uplifting memories of this special person.
