Marie K. Jones

BOARDMAN – Marie K. Jones, 82, of Boardman passed away early Wednesday morning on March 1, 2023 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Jones was born September 23, 1940 in Youngstown and was a daughter of Ronnie and Doris Marie Burns Rowe and was a lifelong member of the community.

She was a wonderful homemaker and her family was of the utmost importance to her in which she had frequent morning coffee sessions and family dinners. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid bowler, was a graduate of South High School and was on her reunion committee and looked forward to her lunch meetings with her friends.

Mrs. Jones leaves to cherish her memory, children, Kathleen (Dennis) Emptage of Youngstown; Daniel R. Jones of Youngstown; Matthew (Lenore) Jones of Youngstown; brothers, Ron Rowe, and Bill Rowe; sisters, Peggy Brancho and Arlene Auerillio; grandchildren, Delia (Ayrek) Howard, Lucy Jones, Jessica Jones, Nat Jones, Daniel Jones and Jacob Jones

Besides her parents Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jake Jones whom she married November 15, 1958 in St. Patrick Church and who passed away February 5, 2016, brother, Eugene Rowe and a sister, Patti Turillo.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Father Kevin Peters Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11am in St. Patrick Church where family and friends may call from 10 am until time of service

The Jones family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Marie’s name.
