YOUNGSTOWN – Marion E. Mauser, 95, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 9, 2020 at Park Vista of Youngstown with her loving family by her side.
Marion was born In Youngstown, June 27, 1925, and was a daughter of Paul and Ruth Musser Mauser and came to the Youngstown area as a child.
She was a secretary at Truscon Steel until her children were born and then began her career as a homemaker. Marion was a graduate of The Rayen School, member of St. Edward Parish, very active in the Liberty Mother’s Club (PTA), a milestone blood donor for the American Red Cross, spent many hours volunteering at Northside Hospital, and a group leader for 4H. Enjoyment came from her family that was of utmost importance to her, loved giving to others and roller skating.
Mrs. Mauser leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Bernie (Debbie) Mauser of Liberty Township; Michael (Dorothy) Mauser of Vienna; Ron (Elizabeth) Mauser of Nevada; daughters, Mariellen (Dr. Robert) Sinsheimer of Columbus; and Patricia (Dr. Paul) Gottschall of Dayton; sister, Norma Jean Mardis of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years of marriage, whom she married in 1947 and who passed away Sept. 30, 2016; a sister Ida Mae Bartz and a brother Charles Bartz.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Carol Drummond for her special care of their mother and to Elmwood Assisted Living in Hubbard, Park Vista and Hospice of the Valley for their love, kindness and concern for their mother.
