YOUNGSTOWN – Mickey Vath, 68, passed away Friday evening, July 23, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic, the day before his 69th birthday.
He was born John Michael Vath, July 24, 1952, in Youngstown and was a son of Delbert and Margaret McLaughlin Vath.
Mickey worked as a roofer, also enjoyed remodeling homes, professions in which he excelled in both, loved his winters in Florida and long relaxing car rides with unknown destinations in mind.
Mickey leaves the love of his life Christine Lowry;Vath, son, John Vath, Jr., daughter, Erin Vath both of Youngstown; brothers, Dan, and Buddy; sisters, Cathy, Renee, and Kim; grandchildren, Blaze, Brionna, Alissa, Cayden, his lifelog friend Sav and the Lowry Family.
Besides his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by a sister, Joan; sister-in-law Maggie Lowry and a nephew, Michael Lowry, Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. in St. Edward Church and a Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11 a.m. in St. Edward Church and please come directly to the church.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family for local charities.
The Vath family has requested that all people coming to the visitation and or funeral please wear a mask.
