YOUNGSTOWN – Nicholas Milton Harvey, 66, of Youngstown passed away Sunday evening at Windsor House at Guardian Health Care Center.
Mr. Harvey was born July 24,1954 in Mount Vernon, New York and a son of Robert Nicholas and Annie Ruth Favors Harvey and came to the area in 2001.
He was a stockbroker in New York City and when he moved to Youngstown he did insurance and later opened the South Side Thrift Store. Mr. Harvey graduated from Martin Luther High School in Maspeth, New York, attended Queensboro College, received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Lycoming, College in Williamsport, PA and received his MBA from Bloomsburg College in Bloomsburg, PA.
Mr. Harvey enjoyed his collections of many different items such as his antique and muscle cars, radios and anything that was an antique. He adored and admired his wife and family.
He leaves to cherish his memory of his wife of over 43 years, the former Carolyn Singletary whom he married May 27, 1978; children, Nicholas (Tasha) Harvey of Katy, TX; Erica Harvey of Atlanta, Georgia; Jerome Harvey of Youngstown; and Isaiah Harvey of Youngstown’ grandchildren, Nicholas M. Harvey III; Nyla Harvey; Nolan Harvey; Ashton Etchison and Elyse Etchison; siblings, Larry Harvey; Angela (Lawrence) Harvey – Wells and Elizabeth Goolsby.
Besides his parents, Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Charles Goolsby.
Funeral Service will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Phillips Chapel Church of God in Christ, 3903 Jacobs Road S.E., Hubbard, Ohio 44425, celebrated by Elder Earle Barnes.
