A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Columba Cathedral, celebrated by Monsignor Peter Polando, for Mary Ann Koval Bogdan, 93, who passed away Sunday afternoon at Briarfield Manor in Austintown.
Mrs. Bogdan was born July 4, 1923 in Campbell and was a daughter of Andrew Vincent and Mary Makatura Koval and was a lifelong member of the community.
She was employed by the United States Post Office working at the New Bedford, Pennsylvania Post Office as a clerk and retired in 1992 after 14 years of service.
Mrs. Bogdan was a member of the cathedral parish, a former member of St. James the Apostle in New Bedford, graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, enjoyed baking and fine art in which she participated in painting and drawing.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a sister, Gladys Speis of Villa Maria, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Bogdan was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony E. Bogdan, whom she married May 25, 1942 and who passed away December of 1990; brothers, Leonard Koval and Andrew Koval.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Thursday in St. Columba Cathedral.
